Evidence Outcomes

  • plans for students that have a range of learning strengths, needs, and interests including culturally and linguistically diverse learners.

Throughout weekly lesson agendas, written descriptions are provided with directions as well as visual aides. In addition to creating a predictable learning environment, written text and visual examples may provide access points for students that struggle with auditory directions or ELA students. Weekly agendas and directions can also be found on google classroom, allowing students to look over directions and information at their own pace.

In my mentor teacher’s classroom, the teaching philosophy of TAB is used for the majority of projects. This allows students to work with both a subject and material of their choosing within their artwork. The system provided to the right displays the log that is used to track each student’s work- including material, subject, and element of art. Through TAB, students are allowed to focus on topics that interest them as well as materials they are either comfortable or interesting to them.
